Students are introduced to the skills of historical study through a survey style examination of modern global history.  Literacy skills will be emphasized through the critical analysis of primary and secondary sources, synthesis of information from various sources in the development of a historical thesis, and support of a thesis through verbal communication and analytical writing. Content considerations begin with the Age of Exploration and conclude with the period of decolonization following World War Two.
